By visiting the St. James Missionary Baptist Church, you will find that the Music & Worship Arts Ministries are exciting, inspiring, joyful and gifted in the arts beyond belief. On any given Sunday, you will be encouraged, blessed and moved by the sweet savor of worship and praise in drama, dance, music and song. As Sister Claudia D. Williams, our anointed Director of Music & Worship Arts, gives leadership & guidance to each ministry, our church continues to grow in the knowledge of what “the arts” really means as it relates to a worship service.

MISSION: To lead people into a relationship with Christ through creative worship and set the atmosphere for the preaching of the Gospel.

BACKGROUND: The choirs sing songs from various genres such as, spirituals, hymns, anthems, gospel, quartet, contemporary, rap and hip-hop gospel. The dance ministry includes all ages, as well as, mime ministry. The drama department is establishing a name for itself with productions, plays and dramatic interpretation.
